After going to a few other furniture stores around Madison, I was pretty much done looking for a recliner without any success. I decided to check out Steinhafels with no expectations. It was the best decision I've made all year. Heather was there to show me around and help me find what I was looking for. No pressure, no gimmicks, just asking me what I was looking for in a recliner and then pointing out what they had available. She answered all my questions and really helped me make a decision. And it was cheaper than I expected. Everything about the experience was delightful. I'm pretty certain I'll be making this my go-to furniture store for now on.

Perfect shopping experience. Reminded me of how beneficial in-person shopping can be, compared to online. Damon was exceptionally patient. His product knowledge and "light touch" upsold me from a deeply discounted floor model to a more full-featured recliner. Very attentive and pleasant young man. I'm looking forward to a good night's sleep!

Beyond words & emotions. 5/9/2026 - In the aearch for updating furniture for my new apartment, my g/f & I went to Steinhafel’s Madison West. Since both of us are disabled, we got to use the 2 Pride mobility scooters. Unfortunately, one was not cooperating, so the sales person Josh S. Wheeled me around via wheelchair. 10,000 steps later ( and 3+ hours ) we picked out over $9,000+ worth of furniture: Deluxe Flexsteel lift chair. Cradenza. Love seat. 8’ x 10’ area rug.: Lazy Boy recliner. 2 end tables. Josh and his manager were flawless. They made us feel like family. Dispite my g/f’a & I’s questions, debates, decisions …. Josh & staff worked through all … and went ABOVE & BEYOND!! 25 stars out of 5.

Steinhafels is a great place to shop if you're looking for great furniture that is worth the price, well-made, and long-lasting. We were able to try out all different kinds of recliners with a lot of features and select two that met our differing needs perfectly. The salespeople were polite--never pushy or over the top. When we were ready to make our purchase, Damian helped us quickly and professionally. They try to sell you protection plans and various delivery services, but I feel like Damian would have been fine had we declined those services. This is our fourth time purchasing from Steinhafels, so we will obviously be back.

I worked with Heather to purchase a new mattress. She was great! Very knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. She was also very honest. I did not feel as if I was being sold something, but instead offered all of the options & facts and allowed to make my choices with no pressure. Highly recommend!

Becky was great! Such a fun person. She didn't push us but allowed us time alone to test the couch and discuss things privately. Her easygoing style was much appreciated. Becky Zahn was truly amazing in helping me choose exactly what I wanted. I got a sofa and large chair… and ended up ordering a set of dining room chairs as well which I hadn’t planned on. Becky was so friendly and definitely was looking out for me and not at all pushing me into a sale. She was patient, listened, had suggestions for me to help in my decision making, and on top of it I ended up with a great deal. Also shout out to TJ. We worked with Liz to help us select our furniture and design the layout of our living room space. She came to our home and took photos of the space and designed a layout that was influenced by a survey we took concerning our tastes and style and room function. She did a wonderful job using our input to design a furnished living room using 3D modeling that we could see on a screen at the store. She showed us fabrics, rugs, and furniture at the store for us to select from. We were very happy with the final results and appreciated her attention to all the details. The delivery team was very professional.

Incredible service with a huge selection of furniture. Damon was best-in-class all around, super helpful and not pushy at all. Ended up buying more than we expected because the value was irresistible. This will be our first choice for furniture moving forward.
